A really bad joke

Knock, Knock
Who's There?
Whip
Whip who?
Whippoo , that's the name you have to call if you want to reach us from the community entry gate.

**insert knee slapping laugh here**

My VT clued me into that when she came for a visit on Friday. I don't know when that happened, but for the time being we are the Whippoo's.

Fly, little bloggers fly!

Wednesday night was the blogging class and 3 people came. Yay! Two of those ladies set up their blogs and got underway. I think they are hooked because they have added tons of pictures and links and things to their blogs.

Time just flew by so fast and it was 9pm before we knew it. I really wish we had been able to get through more things, but I'm so happy they got a good start.
There may have to be more sessions or I really want to set up some one-on-one time. That way depending on people's skill level we can do different things.

Of course, I created a blog for the Blog class. For now it has some basic info and loads of links. I think I will continue to update it though with new and interesting things as I find them.
The blogging blog is http://SoMtnBlogging.blogspot.com

Here are my two newest blogging buddies:
Brenda
Rejli

Oh and for my Father-in-law's info, that makes 3 active blogs for me and I'm not done yet. :)

Cutest cowgirl in the West

If I did not already have Morgan's Halloween costume, then I would for sure have bought this. How cute is she. A happy surprise that her little outfit sort of goes with it.

Yes, I am this desperate for Morgan to have hair that I will result to yarn headbands.

Donate to help a struggling family

You may or may not have heard about a plane crash that happened over the weekend near St Johns. Well two people were critically injured and one person passed away when a small aircraft crashed on Saturday night. I don't know this couple, but they are a nice LDS family living in Mesa, Stephanie and Christian Nielsen. They have four small children and are currently in critical condition with severe burns. Stephanie's sister is posting updates and ways for people to help on her blog, http://cjanerun.com

They will be facing medical bills in the millions as well as your everyday type expenses.

My heart was really touched reading about this family and how much they need love and support right now. If you want to donate to help this family you can click on the button below. You can also go to the website above and see some other ways to help and check on their progress. If you can't give financially, please keep them in your prayers.

Unnatural Anxiety

I'm a worrier by nature{nurture played a big part too I'm sure.} I choose to worry about upcoming events a good deal of the time. My two current worries are what to do for Morgan's 1st birthday party(in December) and Joshua's 3rd birthday(in January). I spend a good deal of time trying to think out all my options and come up with good ideas. This revelation should help everyone understand why late notice for events can make me grouchy. I'm a planner. Moving on....

Today I got the idea to have Joshua's party at a train park. I packed up the kids and off we went to scope out Desert Breeze park in Chandler. After a close race between Desert Breeze and McCormick Stillman park in Scottsdale, we went with Desert Breeze. I'm pleased to announce then that I have a Ramada reserved for January 10th at Desert Breeze Park. I must say this is a little excessive even for me, but it gives me warm fuzzies inside that I don't have to stress about it anymore.

Expect the e-vite next week. :)

A fun detail of the day is when Joshua and I got caught, through by own stupidity, standing in the middle of the Splash park when it went off in our clothes. Duh.

Now to turn my brain power to Joshua's Halloween costume! {I bought Morgan's before she was born}

Blogging Class/ Twilight Books

In a few weeks I am going to put on a blogging class for enrichment night. Pretty much everything is fair game so I really hope that people that already have blogs come. (Newbies too of course.) If you have any specific things you want covered, leave me a comment so I can make sure I have it in the agenda.
I'm also hoping to have a computer for people to work on, so depending on turn out I hope to have either one computer per person or at least 1 for every 2 people. Seeing as events at my home seem to have a low turnout I'm not overly concerned with the amount of computers I need to come up with.
Depending on popularity and complexity of peoples questions, I think I might set up one on one appointments to help people out if they want.

Now on to Twilight..
So I decided I couldn't wait any longer and I bought Twilight and New Moon. I read Twilight on Friday and New Moon on Saturday. I haven't bought the last two books yet because I think my husband would like me back for a few weeks before he becomes a single Dad for the weekend. :)
SPOILER ALERT:
I really LOVED Twilight!! In comparison I remember feeling slightly underwhelmed by New Moon. Clearly I'm a vampire lover. However, I am very excited for books 3 and 4. My the end of the book, the issue resolves itself, but did anyone else notice that even though Edward removed every trace of himself, Bella had mailed a copy of all her pictures to her Mother? So unless Edward took out the pictures of himself before he mailed them for Bella, Bella could get a hold of the pictures. Its insignificant, but such a big deal was made about how he removed all traces of himself, I found it interesting that there was a little loose end.

Okay, I'll check in after I read the rest of the series. Oh and I don't know if it is just me, but I actually have no desire to see the movie at this point. The book was too good. We'll see if I change my mind as it gets closer.

Daily Note Jar Round 2

Here is my second jar. I am very happy with the way this one turned out. I'm still working on finding a bow that I really love, but I think this option is better than the first too plain bow.

Daily Note Jar Craft

I've been pretty busy with important things like watching the Olympics. I did squeeze in some time to make a cute craft project my sister turned me on to.
Essentially it's a jar with inspirational/motivational quotes and the recipient opens one a day for a month. You can really put whatever type of message you want in the envelopes and I have some awesome ideas. Two of the ladies I visit have birthdays this month, so I decided to make them these jars for their birthdays. I am about 90% sure that the jar pictured below will match the dome decor of its recipient, so I hope that works out.
It is a pretty time consuming project{That's a lot of little tiny envelopes to make}, but isn't that what makes it special?

I need to work on my photography, but I'm pretty happy with the way it came out. I'm sure I'll take pics of the other one when it gets done too!

Twlight Series?

Do any of my local blogging buddies have the Twilight books? I've heard so many say good things about them that I would like to read them. If you have them and wouldn't mind lending me Twilight, I would love it.

I haven't really done any pleasure reading since I was pregnant with Joshua(Harry Potter, I miss you). This seems like a good series to jump into.

Church Cuties

Mornings where we actually get up for church on time are usually quite enjoyable. This morning we had a few extra minutes for an impromptu photo shoot. They are super cute.

Look at those two teeth!

He's actually kissing her, not putting her in a headlock!

Grumpy morgan

The past few nights Morgan has been sleeping 12-13 hours. Yay! This morning I was going to wake her up and decided I should take the camera with me. Well as I was walking through the hall to get to Morgan's room, I heard her cry out. These are the pictures I took of her when I got in her room. I'm pretty sure she looks like I do when I get woken up in the mornings. I had to post all of them because they make me laugh so much.
Oh and there she is on her hands and knees. She has been sleeping a lot recently on her tummy with her knees tucked under her.

This first one is my FAVORITE. I've been looking at it all day and it still cracks me up.

Samantha growling

This is a video from a few weeks back. Joshua and Samantha were having a good time growling at each other. Towards the beginning of the video Samantha wants Morgan to kiss Samantha's boo-boo better and Morgan tries to rip her face off. Good Times!

A New 'do

Today I went and got an awesome haircut(IMHO) at Carsten salon. We aren't talking the Carsten institute, we are talking the full dog and pony show. I thought it was pretty awesome that Carsten himself was a few stations over cutting some guys hair.
Anyways, here is a before and after shot. I tried taking a picture of the back of the haircut, but that just wasn't going to work by myself.

If you are in need of an awesome haircut and don't mind spending about $50, go to Carstens and ask for Brittany.
