Joshua's New Haircut

Little man got a cute new haircut. I'm still experimenting with it and learning the best way to do it. I think it's super cute though.

Ninja Warrior

Around our house we have recently become a bit obsessed with a show called Ninja Warrior. It's an obstacle type show from Japan that they show on G4 TV. It's in Japanese with English subtitles.
Now here is some background info. Every time we turn on the TV Joshua starts yelling Dora or Pablo(The Backyardigans) because that is what he wants to watch. Well today I turned on the TV and in response to Joshua's yelling I said, "We are going to watch Ninja Warrior right now." Here comes the good part. Joshua then started running around yelling, "HI-YAW! (A karate chop sound, that's my best stab at spelling it.) It has nothing to do with the show itself, but he apparently knows what a Ninja is.

Awesome!

And before you ask, yes, we watch too much television at our house.

Scrapblog first try

I decided to play around with Scrapblog a bit to make an album for my Brother-in-law's wedding. It went pretty good, especially since I used several of their ready made layouts. If you click on the Scrapblog link it takes you to a larger version, then if you click the full screen option, you can really see it better. Oh and there is some sound too!

I like to pretend that people other than my Mom read this blog, so maybe I'll post a more in depth review of Scrapblog's builder later.

A future so bright ...

Two pictures of my cute babies.
Check out Morgan's cool shades.

I never am sure what color Joshua's eyes but I think it's pretty clear from this picture that his eyes are green.

Breathing Treatments

I felt it worthwhile to take some pictures of Morgan while she is doing her breathing treatments. It's sad to see her hooked up to this machine to get her medicine, but it truly does help her breathe better. For those of you not familiar, there is a bunch of vapor that comes pouring out of the mask, but I guess that doesn't really come across in flash photography. The nebulizer comes with a boring old mask, but the pediatrician's office gave us the cute dinosaur one. I'm pretty sure Morgan doesn't care either way, but I think it is a little less sad this way. Her cute outfit was a present from her Aunt Misty.

This is like my fourth post today, so make sure you scroll down to get caught up!

Happy Valentine's Day

I wasn't going to post this picture a while because I have actual print outs to give to people, but it is getting to be quite a bit past Valentine's Day, so oh well.

Joshua and Grandpa rake leaves

A while back my parents took a video of Joshua and Grandpa raking leaves. Enjoy!!

Game Day

A few weeks ago my niece said the funniest thing and I keep forgetting to blog about it. We were at my Mom's house and she and Joshua were watching Baby Einstein in my parents room. Samantha came into the living room and said, "Grandma, I NEED to watch the game." I just died laughing. It was so funny because it was the weekend after the Super bowl. Turns out she wanted to watch a computer game, but it was still hilarious.

Poor Baby Morgan

I wanted my 100th post to be a little more exciting, but things just aren't that way right now. The last two weeks Joshua, Morgan, and myself have all been sick.
Poor Morgan has RSV and brochiolitis. She has been wheezing and coughing really badly for a week. I took her to the Doctor for a second time today. They gave her a breathing treatment at the office and gave us a nebulizer to take home. She also is getting an ear infection so we have a prescription for antibiotics. Finally, they sent Morgan to get a chest x-ray to make sure she doesn't have pneumonia. Thankfully the Doctor called and her x-ray was clear.

Poor girl, she is so sick but she is still so smiley and happy. The Doctor kept calling her a wheezy mess.

Well I guess this is a perfectly fine 100th post. This blog is effectively a journal for me/my family and things aren't always sunshine and roses.

I have babies crying so I have to go. Hopefully my babies get to feeling better soon!

Blog Changes

Well I am coming up on 100 posts(this is 99) and I wanted to change the layout up a bit. So for the next little while expect a lot of changes and some weird things. Like for now, there are some links in Spanish across the top that don't do anything. I'm still working on that.

Sick boy and Google Pedometer

Poor Joshua has been sick this week. He threw up twice on Wednesday and hasn't been feeling so well. He has never really thrown up before so it was pretty traumatic for him. Finally today he is starting to eat and drink well again.

I've been doing a lot of walking recently with the kids in the double stroller. We don't have a pedometer so Ryan found this awesome online pedometer. Surprise, surprise it is Google Pedometer. You look at the satellite image and put markers on the map and it figures out how far you've gone. If you enter your weight, it can estimate how many calories you have burned. You can save routes and all sorts of other things I haven't really played with yet. The URL is: http://www.gmap-pedometer.com/
So get out there and go for a walk!

Big Girl!

Morgan had her two month well check today and she is a big girl. She weighs 13 lbs 11 ounces and is 23 inches long. Her head circumference is 16 inches. That puts her in the 90th percentile for weight and head and 75th percentile for length. Big girl!
Poor thing had to get three shots and one oral vaccine. She is such a trooper though, she only cried for a second and calmed right down after I could hold her.

Joshua is finally going to have his two year well check next month and then Morgan has another well check in April. We will be spending some quality time at the Doctor's office the next few months.

Random Update

I haven't been updating much recently, because it doesn't seem like there is much going on. My most recent projects include trying to get Morgan's nursery set up. At this point that includes reorganizing the hall and closets, cleaning up the office, and moving everything in the office to other parts of the house. So far we are on the cleaning up the office stage.
I am pretty excited to make decorations for the nursery. We are going pink and brown. Monica got Morgan some awesome nesting boxes that have polka dots, so I think we will definitely be working polka dots into the theme. I think I am going to try making a crib bumper too. Sounds pretty challenging for my sewing skills, but thank goodness I have an awesome mother and sister to help me. If anyone has any cute ideas, let me know.
